Closing the Loop
Redesigning proactive primary healthcare through coordination, intelligence, and early intervention.
As South Africa’s ageing population grows, healthcare systems must move beyond reactive responses. EQiGate is building a proactive model that listens earlier, coordinates deeply, and acts before emergencies unfold.
From Data to Understanding
Between May and June 2025, EQiGate’s platform managed 8,696 structured care interactions involving wellness checks, device alerts, home care support, and emergency responses.
- 3,344 proactive wellness check-ins
- 4,042 ongoing home care cases
- 552 technical alerts (95% resolved within 60 seconds)
- 229 emergency escalations
- 902 false alarms triaged quickly
Supporting Nurses as Frontline Leaders
Nurses are often the first to respond to alerts and clinical concerns. EQiGate’s systems support them with structured data, real-time insights, and intelligent prompts that guide decision-making while reducing administrative burden.
From Reaction to Orchestration
Our approach focuses on identifying subtle risk signals early — changes in behaviour, mood, or routine that may indicate emerging clinical concerns.
By connecting these signals into meaningful patterns, we enable earlier intervention and prevent many avoidable hospitalisations.
Hospital-at-Home
Through mobile clinical services, structured observation, and remote GP oversight, many deteriorations can be treated directly in the resident’s environment rather than requiring hospital admission.
Closing the Loop
EQiGate links multiple touchpoints into coordinated care episodes — ensuring that agents, nurses, responders, clinicians, and families operate within a single care system.
The Future of Care
The future of healthcare will be proactive, collaborative, and data-driven. By closing the loop between risk signals and clinical response, we can deliver safer, more responsive care for ageing communities.
